Khowai, Tripura, 5th of September, 2026 : With the initiative of the School Inspectors of Padmabil and Tulashikhar Blocks organized celebration ceremony of sub-divisional 65th Teachers’ Day at New Town Hall, Khowai on Saturday (5th September, 2026).
In the presence of many distinguished dignitaries Khowai Zilla Parishad Sabhadhipati Aparna Singh Roy (Dutta) has inaugurated the event by lighting the ceremonial Lamp.
School Inspector of Padmabil Block Bishnu Dutta delivered the welcome address. In their speeches, the speakers highlighted the contribution of the teaching community, the role of teachers in shaping the future of students, and the importance of education in building a better society.
On the occasion of Teachers’ Day, teachers were felicitated and various programmes were organised as part of the celebration. Highlighting the significance of the day, the speakers said that a teacher’s responsibility is not limited to imparting textbook knowledge; teachers also play a vital role in instilling morality, values and humanitarian principles in students and shaping them into responsible citizens. A total of 17 retired teachers, including both male and female educators, were felicitated on the occasion.
Amidst the other distinguished dignitaries there were Khowai Municipal Council Chairman Debashish Nath Sharma, social worker Anukul Das, Samir Das, Former Headmaster Kamala Ranjan Bhattacharjee along with other officials of the Education Department, and many other distinguished dignitaries were present at the event.
