HPS Ramanthapur Marks Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan’s Birth Anniversary With Teachers’ Day Celebrations.

Hyderabad, Telangana, 5th of September, 2026 : The Hyderabad Public School, Ramanthapur, celebrated Teachers’ Day with a vibrant cultural programme on campus, honouring the dedication, guidance and lasting influence of teachers in shaping young minds. The occasion also commemorated the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, philosopher, eminent educationist and former President of India.

Centred around the theme “Education Beyond Marks,” the celebration highlighted the school’s belief that education extends beyond academic achievement and plays a vital role in nurturing curiosity, compassion, perseverance and character among students. The platform recognised and encouraged the literary talents of students who participated in the National Sports Day Creative Writing Contest. The winners were felicitated by Vice Principal Mrs. Kiran Panjwani and Head of Sports Mr. Mohit Pandey, acknowledging their creativity and contribution.

The programme began with “The Seed to Tree,” portraying a child’s journey of growth through the guidance of teachers, followed by a soulful Guru Vandanam expressing students’ gratitude to their mentors. The celebrations continued with a special Taxila House assembly, featuring student instrumentalists performing a blend of Western classical, metal, devotional and patriotic music, followed by an energetic Grade XII dance dedicated to the teachers..

The celebration was attended by Principal Dr. S. Narsimha Reddy, Vice Principal Mrs. Kiran Panjwani and Senior School Coordinator Mrs. B. Deepika, along with teachers and students. Addressing the gathering, Dr. S. Narsimha Reddy, Principal, The Hyderabad Public School, Ramanthapur, expressed his appreciation for the teachers and their role in shaping students beyond the classroom. He said, “Teachers do much more than impart knowledge; they help students discover their strengths, develop values and understand the importance of perseverance and empathy. Education is truly meaningful when it prepares a child not merely for examinations, but for life. On this Teachers’ Day, I encourage our students to value the lessons, relationships and experiences that continue to shape them long after they leave the classroom. Our teachers are the guiding force behind this journey.”

The programme concluded with closing remarks by student hosts Abhinav and Adrushta, who expressed heartfelt gratitude to the teachers for their constant guidance, encouragement and patience. The celebration came to a dignified close with the singing of the National Anthem.
