Khowai, Tripura, 7th of September, 2026 : According to police sources, the three youths—Biplab Das, Suman Shukla Baidya and Pranoy Das—allegedly molested a young woman while she was travelling by tom-tom from the Ramchandraghat area towards Khowai.
After the alleged incident, the young woman approached Khowai Women’s Police Station and filed a complaint. Acting on her complaint, police registered Case No. 23/2026 under Sections 74/75(1)(l)(4)/3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. The three accused were subsequently detained and produced before the court. Khowai Women’s Police Station OC Meena Debbarma briefed the media about the case.
