Transport Minister Sushanta Chowdhury Inspects Ongoing Work At Santirbazar District Transport Office.

Agartala, Tripura, 13th of September, 2026 : Hon’ble Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Transport and Tourism minister Sushanta Chowdhury inspected under construction at Santirbazar District Transport Office on Saturday (12th September, 2026).

The present State Government is working towards development based on the principles of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’ and transparency. Along with other development initiatives, modern and well-equipped District Transport Offices are being constructed across the state to improve the transport system. Construction of District Transport Offices is currently underway in Khowai, Sepahijala and Santirbazar in South Tripura district.

Once completed, these Transport Offices will further improve public services and make various transport-related facilities more accessible to people. Transport Minister Sushanta Chowdhury made these remarks while inspecting the under-construction District Transport Office at Santirbazar in South Tripura district.

Transport Minister Sushanta Chowdhury directed the concerned officials to ensure that the work is completed within the stipulated time while maintaining the quality of construction. The District Transport Office at Santirbazar is being constructed at a cost of ₹6,49,92,200. The Transport Minister also inspected the under-construction Passenger Amenities Buildings at Santirbazar Motor Stand and Jolaibari Motor Stand. MLA Pramod Reang, Vice-Chairperson of Santirbazar Municipal Council Satyabrata Saha, Santirbazar Sub-Divisional Magistrate Dipika Gautam, PWD Superintending Engineer Tapas Marak, and officials from the Transport and Rural Development Departments were present during the inspection.
