Hyderabad, Telangana, 2nd of October, 2026 : With 32 years of academic excellence, Regency College of Culinary Arts & Hotel Management recognised as one of the best colleges in Telangana in the field of Culinary Arts and Hotel Management education. Established in the heart of Hyderabad in 1994, the college fosters with a strong commitment to academic excellence, hands-on industry training, and professional development enabling students to pursue career opportunities with top national and international brands and leading cruise lines.
Continuing its tradition of providing students with opportunities beyond the classroom, Regency College conducted its most prestigious RPL 6.0 – Regency Premier League, a three-day inter-collegiate cricket tournament held from 29th September to 1st October 2026 at BSR Cricket Grounds, Nagole. The tournament brought together 13 leading Hotel Management colleges affiliated with NCHMCT and Osmania University from across the twin cities, creating a vibrant platform for young hospitality professionals to come together through their shared love of cricket.They are: Excel Hotel Management College; Global Hotel Management College; Westin Hotel Management College; IHM Shri Shakti Hotel Management College; IIIHM Hotel Management College, Miyapur; IHM Hotel Management College, Vidyanagar; Leo Academy; Dr Narayana Hotel Management College; AIMS Hotel Management College; Trinity Hotel Management College; Nexa Hotel Management College; IIHMCA Hotel Management College and Regency College of Culinary Arts & Hotel Management.

Three Days of Competition and Camaraderie
Cricket was more than just a sport; it was a game that brought together team skills and social skills such as cooperation, team building, communication, respect, fairness, and true sportsmanship. The atmosphere at the BSR Grounds reached a fever pitch as teams representing hotel management institutions from across Hyderabad took to the field.
The exciting three-day tournament created a shower of joy and excitement as teams competed enthusiastically for the coveted winners’ trophy. Every match became a moment to remember, every team brought its own story, and every player contributed to making RPL 6.0 a memorable celebration of sportsmanship, teamwork, and camaraderie.

The Associate Sponsors included Edu Consultancy, i20 Fever, Upgrade Immigration Services and Capstone.
Yashoda Hospitals supported the tournament as the Medical and Safety Partner, while Coca-Cola served as the Hydration Partner. The Hospitality Sponsors included ibis, Mercure and Hilton Hotels & Resorts, while Karamat, Zed, Multi-Arts Printers and TMS Sports supported the event as Rewards and Recognition Partners.

Champions, Recognition and Rewards
One of the most exalted moments of RPL 6.0 was the felicitation and recognition of the outstanding performances of the participating teams and players. The Man of the Match and Man of the Series awards were presented to Mr. Uzair Fayaz from Westin College of Hotel Management in recognition of his exceptional performance throughout the tournament.
He was honoured with memento and lunch coupon from Hilton Hotels (for The Man of the Match) also was awarded one day stay voucher for two members, including complimentary breakfast, from Ibis Hotel (for The Man of the Series) in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the tournament.
Out of 13 participating colleges, Westin and IHM Vidyanagar, along with Regency College of Culinary Arts and Hotel Management and Dr. Narayana, qualified for the semi-finals.
In the semi-finals, Westin defeated IHM Vidyanagar, while Regency College of Culinary Arts and Hotel Management defeated Dr. Narayana to enter the finals.
In the final match, Westin emerged as the winner, while Regency College of Culinary Arts and Hotel Management finished as the runner-up. However, Regency College hosted the RPL – Regency Premier League 6.0. The Runner-Up award was presented to IHM, Vidyanagar.
They received Runner-Up Trophy and mementos, along with Mercure Hotel lunch vouchers for the Captain and Vice-Captain.
Eventually, Westin college won RPL – Regency Premier League 6.0 by 25 runs by 10 wickets in 10 overs over Regency college. The Winner Team was honoured with the Winner’s Trophy, mementos, and a cash prize of ₹25,000/- presented by Regency College. In addition, the Captain, Vice-Captain, and Faculty member received three meal vouchers from Hilton Hotels.
Furthermore, a cash prize of ₹5,000/- was awarded to the Regency College cricket team by Karamat (Indian Gravies & Masalas) in recognition of their participation and sporting spirit.
