Syandan Sharad Samman 2026 : Applications Accepted Until October 13.

Agartala, Tripura, 2nd of October, 2026 : The 13th edition of ‘Syandan Sharad Samman 2026’ is set to begin across Tripura with grand preparations. The prestigious award programme, which began its journey in 2013, has entered its 13th year this year. The official launch was announced at a press conference held on Friday (2nd October, 2026) at the Conference Hall of the Agartala Press Club.

The press conference was attended by Akashdeep Baidya and Shubhranjit Chowdhury representing Nirman Construction Services, Sports Editor Sarayu Chakraborty, Director Abhishek Dey, and Photo Editor Arindam Dey.

For the past 12 years, the Syandan newspaper and Syandan TV, through their joint initiative, have been presenting the Syandan Sharad Samman to encourage creativity in Durga Puja celebrations, including the artistic presentation of puja pandals, idols and lighting decorations. This year, Nirman Construction is extending overall support for the event.

This year, awards will be presented in 10 categories, including Best of the Best, Best Idol, Best Pandal, and various budget-based categories such as Large, Medium and Small, along with Best Lighting, Residential Puja, and Editor’s Choice, among others.

The judging panel for this year’s competition comprises graphic designer Nabajyoti Bharati, Professor Jaydeep Bhattacharya of Tripura Government Art College, artist Jayanta Deb, and independent painter Ishita Das.

Interested clubs and social organisations can collect application forms free of cost from the Syandan newspaper office. The last date for submitting applications is October 13, 2026. Following the festival, the winners will be presented with their awards at a special ceremony on November 15, 2026.
