As per direction of the Election commission of India the State Excise Organization is conducting raids to curb illicit liquor selling, manufacturing and transportation on daily basis. As per report, the Excise Organization seized 1829.975 litres of illicit liquor on 08-02-2023 throughout the State which value stands to Rs.4,31,786/-. 1 no. cases have been registered and 1 person arrested for violation of Excise Law.
After date of announcement of poll i.e. on 18-01-2023 upto 08-02-2023, the State Excise Organization seized total 46688.108 litres of illicit liquor which value stands to total Rs.1,13,56,812/-and total cases registered 43 nos and total15 nos. persons arrested.
