In a joint operation led by local Enforcement task force Ambassa along with SSB made a major bust today, seized a large quantity of 4kg heroin and 10,000 Yaba tablets which market value is Rs. 4.2 crore .
During the search operation at Hatimarachhara police Naka point under Ambassa PS a car was coming from Mizoram bearing registration number TR-07 D-0240 disobeyed police obstruction and ran away from the spot. Later on, under the leadership of Biswajit Debbarma, OC, Ambassa PS along with SSB officers chased and detained the car at Ganganagar police Naka point with the help of Suryakant Jamatia, OC of Ganganagar PS. Three smugglers namely Mahajal Alam (37) of Mullamura, Abu Kalam (30) and Jaheer Mia (33) of Ashabari Boxanagar under Sonamura Sub-Division have been arrested along with the said intoxicating items. As specific NDPS case has been registered in Ganganagar PS. The further investigation regarding the case is going on.
