Khowai, 8th of January, 2023 : Police is fully committed to eradicating the menace of drugs from Tripura making “Tripura – A Drug-Free State”. The police of Khowai Police Station was able to recover the illegal Cannabis. As per the report, during checking on Monday (8th January, 2024) at the Naka point of Belfang area under Khowai PS of Khowai district police under the leadership of Pushan Kanti Majumder, SDPO Khowai PS along with police personnel force recovered 150 KG from an Bolero Max Car. 150 kg packets of Cannabis (Ganja) was found after searching the Bolero Max vehicle bearing Assam number plates. The drug dealers have continued to introduce new methods of smuggling different drugs. Sources said that the menace of drug yuba, a section of the youth of Khowai is getting addicted to different types of drugs. The Khowai police officials are in promptness to prevent like this antisocial activities in the area.
