Agartala, 8th of January 2024 : 41 dedicated coaching centers have been started in the State to improve the quality of rural sports. Where players from different places of the State can get better quality training. Trained players will participate in various competitive games of the country and try to increase the reputation of the State. Hon’ble Youth Affairs & Sports, Social Welfare & Social Education, minister Tinku Roy said this in reply to a question by Leaders of Opposition Animesh Debbarma during the question and answer session in the Legislative Assembly on Monday (8th January, 2024). The sports minister said in the Assembly that the winners of the state-based school sports organized by the Tripura School Sports Board are given a stipend of Rs 1,200 per year.
In a reply to a question of MLA Nayan Sarkar during the question and answer session in the Assembly today, the Youth Affairs and Sports Minister said that the construction of an international standard swimming pool at the Regional Physical Education College in Panisagar has been completed and the construction of a synthetic athletics track in progress.
