Assam, 13th of January 2024 : Assam Rifles seized 22,000 Yaba tablets worth ₹ 3.8 Cr, ₹ 10,500 FICN (Fake Indian Currency Note) and apprehended two drug peddlers from General Area Patharkandi, under Patharkandi PS, Karimganj District, Assam on Saturday, 13th January, 2024.
Based on credible information, a joint operation was launched by Assam Rifles and Assam Police. The team apprehended two drug peddlers along with 22,000 Yaba tablets, FICN of Rs 10,500. A mobile phone worth Rs 20,000 was also recovered from the drug peddlers.
The peddlers along with seized contents were handed over to Patharkandi PS, Assam for further investigation & legal proceedings. Assam Rifles highlighted its commitment towards drug free society.
