Teliamura, 16th of March 2024 : Teliamura Police has seized a mini truck loaded illegal timbers at Kaloipara area, Brahmachhara under Teliamura police station. The trucks were impounded by police when was on night paroling. According to the details, on last night, the police of Teliamura police station seized vehicles loaded with timber. At that time, Teliamura sub-divisional police officers spotted a suspicious vehicle bearing TR 04D 1673, intercepted the vehicle and started interrogation and found that the vehicle was carrying illegal timber.
Along with this incident five persons involved and a smuggler were arrested by Teliamura Sub-divisional Police Officer Sudambika R, IPS. Later, the vehicle with the illegal timber and the arrested persons were brought to Teliamura police station. Interacting with media Teliamura Sub-divisional Police Officer Sudambika R said, preliminary investigation revealed that the market value of the seized illegal timber would be more than one lakh rupees.
