Agartala, Tripura, 25th of August, 2024 : Hon’ble Governor of Tripura Indrasena Reddy Nallu visited relief camp at Pratapgarh English Medium High School, west Tripura District on Sunday (25th August, 2024). The Governor interacted to the refugees sheltered in the camp.

After visiting the relief camp, interacting with the media, Governor of Tripura Indrasena Reddy Nallu said that the flood that occurred in the state due to sudden heavy rains has brought immense suffering to all the people of the state. He expressed hope that the people of the state would be able to overcome this obstacle with the cooperation of the government and the administration.

The Governor also added that, he regularly talking to the Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha regarding the flood situation and relief measures. Governor Shri Nallu laid emphasis on distribution of necessary medicines to the people of the affected areas to prevent the spread of infectious and water borne diseases in the flood affected areas. The governor expressed hope that the State Government would quickly assess the extent of the flood damage and take steps to provide financial assistance to the victims. Deputy Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) Manika Das Datta, Additional District Magistrate Sajal Biswas, Sadar Sub-Divisional Magistrate Manik Lal Das and others accompanied the Governor during the visit to the relief camp.
