Khowai, Tripura, 7th of September, 2024 : Traditional Manasa Puja celebrated at the house of Arjun Mani Das at Rishipara, Barabill area under Khowai District on Saturday (7th September, 2024). This year the Puja celebrates its 78th year. All the village and family members had a desire to establish a stone idol in the house of Arjuna Mani Das. Everyone’s wish was fulfilled.
This year the mother is being worshiped by setting up a stone idol. Maha Yagya is following all rites and rituals. Khowai Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Mandal president Subrata Majumder and many other dignitaries were attended during the Maha Yagya at noon on this day. Interacting with media the family members said that this puja is very oldest. Puja is celebrated with rites on Saturday. All family members and villagers join together in this puja.
