Agartala, Tripura, 14th of March 2025 : With the Initiative of Information & Cultural Affairs Department Government of Tripura felicitation of Biplab Goswami, has been organized at Film and Television Institute, Nazrul Kalakshetra, Agartala, Tripura on Friday (14th March, 2025). Felicitated to Shri Biplab Goswami, Advisor of Tripura Film and Television Institute (TFTI), who awarded for best story (original) in the popular category at 25th IIFA Awards ( for Film Laapata Ladies).
Addressing at the felicitation ceremony Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said that to achieve anything in life, you have to work hard. The mindset of working hard is developed from respect and joy for work. Hard work with a single mind, discipline, and a strong attitude towards the goal are the main mantras for moving forward.
The Chief Minister also added that pride for the people of the State that Biplab Goswami was awarded the Best Story (Original) in the popular category for the Hindi film ‘Lapata Ladies’ at the 25th International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA). The Chief Minister expressed the hope that the present generation of the State will be inspired by eminent personalities like Biplab Goswami. Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha felicitated to Shri Goswami with flowers, a gift and a memento. The Chief Minister said that there are plans to take TFTI to a bigger scale.
Amidst the distinguished dignitaries there were Secretary of Information & Cultural Affairs Department Dr. Pradip Kumar Chakraborty, Director of Information and Cultural Affairs Department Bimbisar Bhattacharya, Society for Management of Cultural Complex Chairman Nabendu Bhattacharjee, Tripura State Cultural Advisory Committee Vice Chairman Subrata Chakraborty and may other dignitaries were present in the felicitation ceremony.
