GRP & RPF Of Agartala Seizes Cannabis, Arrested 1 Drug Peddlers In Agartala Railway Station.

Agartala, Tripura, 1st of September, 2025 :On specific information of the Government Railway Police (GRP), Railway Protection Force (RPF) secret operation was launched in Agartala Railway Station on Monday (1st September, 2025). According to the sources, RPF & GRP, arrested one (1) drug peddlers from Agartala Railway Station, and seized a total of 5.190 Kg dry cannabis. He wanted to take it to other state by train using Agartala railway station.

According to sources, GRP & RPF of Agartala, at about 8.30 PM we managed to caught one person namely Avdhesh Kant Pandey (66), S/O- Lt. Rameshwar Prasad of Bheekh Dubey Ka Purwa, Samgramganj, Pratapgarh, Uttar Pradesh and recovered one Pillow which containing with total 05.190 Kg Ganja.  Accordingly we have arrested him from Agartala Railway station platform no-01 and seized the Ganja. The value of this Ganja in black market is about worth ₹ 75000. A specific case vide Agartala GRPS case no-2025GRP088, U/S-20(b)(ii)(B)/29 of NDPS Act-1985 has registered against him.
