Agartala, Tripura, 15th of November, 2025 : With the initiative of the Tripura Gramin Bank (TGB) organized a special outreach programme to marks Children’s Day at Harendra Nagar Tea Estate in Bamutia, Agartala, Tripura on Friday (14th November, 2025). Tripura Gramin Bank (TGB) officials celebrated Children’s Day with underprivileged students belonging to the Harendra Nagar Tea Estate.
Around 100 students participated in the event, which was held with the aim of encouraging and empowering young learners.
As part of the initiative, the bank distributed essential educational materials to 100 students. The kits included pens, pencils, notebooks, drawing kits, and various other necessary items that will support their academic and creative development.
One of the highlights of the event was an educational session on the history and significance of Children’s Day. The students learned that the primary purpose of Children’s Day is to celebrate childhood, promote children’s rights, education, and welfare, and commemorate the birth anniversary of India’s first Prime Minister, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.

Addressing everyone present, Chief Manager Rajib Nayan and Manager Jeet Bhattacharjee said that Tripura Gramin Bank is committed to fulfilling its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). “Our investment in children is an investment in the nation’s future. Through initiatives like this, we aim to spread the light of knowledge and play—even in a small way—a supportive role in the educational journey of these young learners. We are not just a financial institution; we seek to be partners in the overall development of the community we serve,” they said.
Amidst the distinguished dignitaries participants there were Chief Manager (Marketing) Rajib Nayan, Manager (Marketing) Jeet Bhattacharjee, and Bamutia Branch Manager Mr. Tamal Debnath. They were accompanied by Assistant Manager Mr. Bimal Debnath (Durgabari Branch), Mr. Riki Datta, and Mr. Nishit Debbarma (Head Office Marketing Division). Former MLA of Bamutia Krishnadhan Das and and many other distinguished dignitaries were present in the event.
The event concluded in an atmosphere of joy and inspiration, with expressions of gratitude visible on the faces of the children.
