Agartala, Tripura, 15th of November, 2025 : On 15 November 2025, troops of Border Out Post (BOP) Srimantapur, in a joint search operation with Police Station Sonamura, conducted a raid at Bugjor Village under PS Sonamura, Sepahijala district. During the operation, the joint team recovered one 7.65 mm pistol, one magazine, four rounds of 7.65 mm ammunition, and 200 Yaba tablets from a house. The house owner and his wife were detained for further legal action.

In a separate joint operation, BSF troops, along with officials of PS Sonamura and the Forest Department, Boxanagar, destroyed 2,25,000 ganja plants cultivated across 38 plots spread over approximately 45 acres of land in the depth area of Boxanagar, Sepahijala district.
These successful operations reaffirm the BSF’s unwavering commitment to curbing trans-border crimes—including drug and arms trafficking—in close coordination with sister agencies, ensuring the safety and security of the people of Tripura.
