Agartala, Tripura, 9th of August, 2024 : On 9t Aug, A celebration on the occasion of the Hariyali Teej was organised at Frontier HQ BSF Tripura. The event was organized by the BSF Wives Welfare Association (BWWA), where the women from BSF families enthusiastically participated.
The program began with the lighting of a lamp by the President of BWWA following the Mehndi (henna) and dress competitions, in which the BWWA members actively participated. Amidst the drizzling rain and melodious music, all the members enjoyed swinging on the traditional swings. The winners of the Mehndi and dress competitions were awarded by Mrs. Rita Kumar, working President of BWWA.
On this occasion, Dr. Nikhat Hasan also delivered a lecture on the importance of hygiene during menstruation. The event was attended by Mrs. Preeti Ganesh, Mrs. Anupriya Sinha, and other members. Mrs. Sinha mentioned that such events are organized under BWWA to provide families an opportunity to celebrate festivals together to feel like at home.
