Khowai, Tripura, 9th of August, 2024 : A group of thieves stole water taps and various fivers at Primary Health Centre at Chebri after a few days. Despite filing a complaint at Khowai police station, no one came to investigate. Various questions have arisen among the hospital authorities and the local residents regarding the fact that the police station did not come to investigate.
Dr. Priyanka Debbarma, in-charge of the Primary Health Centre, a complaint against the Khowai police station for not even once investigating the theft incident at the government Centre. Dr. P. Debbarma brief details about the theft to the media. A group of thieves have been attacking Chebri Primary Hospital for a few days. Despite reporting the complaint to the police station, the police did not come to investigate. As a result of the negative attitude of the police, Dr. Priyanka Debbarma, got angry. She said last night a group of thieves entered the hospital complex and stole valuables including water pipes and tabs. Prior to this, on June 25, another incident of theft was organized in the hospital. A written complaint was then lodged at the Khowai police station by the hospital authorities. But the police did not come to investigate. There are various questions about the role of the police among the local residents and health workers in this regard. It is noted that the youth of the rising age are getting addicted to drugs and are getting involved in this kind of theft. Indulging in such activities is to raise money to buy drugs. However, the hospital authorities and health workers are uncomfortable with the one after another theft. They have demanded that such incidents should be reported through the police.
