Khowai, Tripura, 19th of April 2026 : A young man from Chebri in Khowai has set a wonderful example of honesty by returning approximately ₹2.5 lakh found on the road to its rightful owner on Sunday (19th April, 2026).

According to the details of the incident, on the 15th of this month, North Chebri businessman Nirmal Rudra Paul noticed a bag lying on the road near his shop. He picked it up and brought it to his shop. Over the next 4–5 days, he informed people in the area that he had found a bag and asked the rightful owner to claim it with proper proof.
After an extensive search, Nirmal finally located the owner of the bag today. The owner has been identified as Suparna Das from Ganki, Khowai. After verifying all details with the owner, he handed over the bag to her.

The bag contained a gold chain weighing around one and a half tolas, cash of over ₹10,000, an Android mobile phone, along with some other items.
The owner expressed immense happiness at his honesty and said that society remains beautiful because people like Nirmal still exist. His act of integrity has set an example across the Chebri area. The owner of the money also extended heartfelt appreciation to businessman Nirmal.
