Dharmanagar, Tripura, 19th of April 2026 : A new jewellery showroom, Hare Krishna Jewellery, is set to open soon in the Babubazar area of Dharmanagar. On this occasion, a press conference was organized on Sunday by prominent businessman Buddha Gupta at his own business premises.
The event was attended by Buddha Gupta, his wife, and his son.Addressing the media, Buddha Gupta stated that the primary objective of this new venture is not just to establish a business, but also to raise awareness among customers about the quality and purity of jewellery. He mentioned that for the past five years, he had been operating under a franchise with a reputed jewellery company in Agartala.
However, after the expiry of that agreement, he is now launching this new showroom independently under the name Hare Krishna Jewellery.He further explained that during his earlier franchise business, there was no recognized system like BIS hallmarking to verify the purity of gold. With BIS hallmarking now made mandatory across India, customers can purchase gold with greater confidence regarding its authenticity. Speaking about pricing, Buddha Gupta assured that jewellery at Hare Krishna Jewellery will be priced approximately 3–4% lower than other jewellery stores, making it more affordable for the general public. He also emphasized that keeping in mind the needs of lower middle-class and middle-class customers, a wide range of jewellery across various budget categories will be available.In conclusion, he said that the showroom will always prioritize customer trust and satisfaction. It now remains to be seen how this new addition will resonate with the people of Dharmanagar.
