Khowai, Tripura, 30th of July, 2025 : The ST line transformer in Khowai Chebri Bazar has been lying in the ground for a long time. The officers of the electricity department are in a deep sleep. A major accident can happen at any moment. Sources in the area say that the department officials inspected it a month ago, but even then the ST transformer has not been removed from the ground.
The locals of the area are worried about this issue. It is feared that if the electricity department does not take immediate action, a major incident may occur. On the other hand, in the Chebri area, the electricity department staff, which used to be on duty 24 hours a day, now work from noon to 8 pm due to staff shortage. During the rest of the time, there is no opportunity to get any kind of electrical problem repaired. There is a lot of tension among the locals regarding this issue.
