Awareness Programme on Child Marriage.

Unakoti, Tripura, 30th of July, 2025 : Awareness programme on Child Marriage initiated by Hon’ble SC Welfare, ARD, Fisheries Minister Sudhangshu Das with the collaboration of District Education officer, Unakoti Tripura at Nazrul Kalakshetra, Fatikroy under Unakoti District on Wednesday (30th July, 2025). In the presence of many distinguished dignitaries the SC Welfare, ARD, Fisheries Minister inaugurated the event by lighting the lamp.

Addressing at event Hon’ble SC Welfare, ARD, Fisheries Minister Sudhangshu Das said that child marriage, which has been prevalent since ancient times, has become a terrible curse in the present society as well. Marriage at an immature age has a serious negative impact on the physical and mental development of girls. In order to eradicate this social disease, all citizens of the society must be aware along with administrative intervention. Therefore, Minister Sudhanshu Das called upon everyone present in today’s workshop to take responsibility and make others aware.
