Dharmanagar, Tripura, 27th of April 2026 : A significant high-level administrative inspection program was conducted in the Balidhum Village Committee (VC) area of North Tripura district. The inspection was attended by the District Magistrate of North Tripura, Chandni Chandran, Superintendent of Police Abhinash Rai, the BDO of Jubarajnagar RD Block, along with officials from the departments of Education, DWS, RD, PWD, Agriculture, and Fisheries.

During the visit, the delegation first went to the Balidhum VC office and reviewed the administrative functioning. They then directly interacted with local residents to listen to their concerns. Villagers raised several issues related to drinking water, roads, education, and agriculture.
On the same day, officials also visited Baithangbari SB School and a nearby Anganwadi centre. The District Magistrate assessed the overall functioning of the school and even tasted the mid-day meal. She also interacted with students and teachers to gain a detailed understanding of the quality of services and the ground realities.
After the inspection, the District Magistrate directed the concerned departments to take necessary steps for the swift resolution of the issues raised by the villagers. The administration’s on-ground initiative has reportedly instilled a sense of hope among the local residents.
