Dharmanagar, Tripura, 19th of July 2026 : A crucial review meeting was held at the Dharmanagar Municipal Council office under the 56- Dharmanagar Assembly Constituency in North Tripura to assess the progress of various ongoing development projects, ensure the quality of construction work, and expedite their completion within the stipulated timeline on Saturday (18th July, 2026).The meeting was attended by Dharmanagar MLA Jahar Chakraborty, along with the Development Commissioner of TUDA the Executive Engineer, Dharmanagar Municipal Council Chairperson Mitali Rani Das Sen, and other officials from the concerned departments.
During the meeting, the progress of several development projects across the town was reviewed in detail. Special emphasis was placed on completing all projects within the prescribed timeframe, maintaining high construction standards, and ensuring their speedy implementation in the public interest. Officials presented detailed updates on the status of each project.Addressing the meeting, MLA Jahar Chakraborty urged all departments to work in close coordination for the successful implementation of the projects. He stressed that timely completion of development works with proper quality standards is essential to ensure long-term benefits for the people.
Following the review meeting, the MLA and other officials conducted a site inspection of the under-construction Water Treatment Plant on College Road. They reviewed the project’s progress, assessed the quality of construction, and discussed measures to ensure its completion within the scheduled deadline.Later, the team also visited the proposed site for the new market building in the Dharmanagar market area. Discussions were held with departmental officials regarding the project plan, infrastructure facilities, traffic management, and future expansion possibilities. According to the administration, these development initiatives are aimed at transforming Dharmanagar into a more modern, well-planned, and citizen-friendly town. Officials expressed confidence that the timely completion of these projects will significantly strengthen the town’s infrastructure and improve the quality of civic services for residents.
