Agartala, Tripura, 5th of January, 2026 : Tripura Government has announced the Government & Government Aided Schools under School Education Department, Govt. of Tripura and Privately Managed Schools to remain closed from 6th January to 10th January, 2026 due to the extreme cold weather conditions.
Education (School) Department Govt. of Tripura released a memorandum that states, “In View of the prevailing extreme Cold Weather conditions throughout the State, it has been decided that all the Government & Government Aided Schools under School Education Department, Govt. of Tripura and Privately Managed Schools will remain closed w.e.f. 06/01/2026 to 10/01/2026.
All the District Education Officers are hereby instructed to convey this decision to each and every school under their jurisdiction.”
