Dharmanagar, Tripura, 27th of March 2026 : In view of the upcoming Dharmanagar (Assembly) by-election, an important all-party meeting was held at Dharmanagar Police Station to strengthen law and order. The meeting was attended by Sub-Divisional Police Officer Jayanta Karmakar and Officer-in-Charge Meena Debbarma, along with representatives from various political parties participating in the by-election.During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on maintaining law and order during the election, ensuring free and fair polling, and safeguarding voters’ security.

The police administration informed that several measures have already been taken to prevent any untoward incidents on the day of polling.Representatives of political parties also shared their views and assured full cooperation with the administration to maintain a peaceful environment. Emphasis was laid on adhering to the Model Code of Conduct, maintaining discipline during campaigning, and refraining from spreading rumors.The police administration warned all political parties that any form of provocation or violation of the law will not be tolerated, and strict action will be taken promptly if such incidents are reported.Overall, the meeting highlighted that coordinated efforts between the administration and political parties are essential to ensure a peaceful and transparent election process.
