Agartala, Tripura, 7th of January, 2026 : Demanding immediate withdraw of pending cash that had been sanctioned by the state government all Tripura extremist returnees from 1993 to 1998 have unitedly conducted a crucial press meet here in Agartala press club today.
As per the report of the claimer committees of JAC, JARC & DRMC out of Rs. 45 crores 22 crores rupees were given to the returnees for their targeted project implementation but more then half of the provision Rs.23 crores are still pending for which the returnees are struggling hard. Souces said, for the rubber plantation fenching for per beneficiary Rs. 16800 is still pending which is urgent required for their rubber plantation protection. In the press meet JARC president Niru Kr. Debbarma said, “Due to long pending status of our sanctioned provision we are facing troublesome situation for our targeted project implementation. The state government must take immediate initiative to provide our sanctioned financial support for our livelihood”.
Amidst the distinguished press meet participants there were Ananta Jamatia, JARC secretary, Sudhangshu Jamatia, JAC president, S.K Bru, JAC secretary, Manujoy Reang, JAC vice president and many others remained present in the press meet.
