Ambedkar Jayanti 2023 : Celebrated The133rd Birth Anniversary Of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.

The State level Ambedkar Jayanti was observed on Friday (14th April, 2023) through different programs. The 14th April marks the birthday of Dr Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar one of the most prominent social reformers of India. The main programme of State level Ambedkar Jayanti was organized at Ujjayanta Palace (Tripura State Museum), Agartala. Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, teachers, students among others paid tributes to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar on his Birth Anniversary.

Dr. B.R. Ambedkar was also known as Babasaheb Ambedkar. He chaired the Indian Constitution’s drafting committee. He is best known for his work as the creator of the Indian Constitution. He was a jurist, politician, economist, and social reformer in India.

“Dr. B.R. Ambedkar birth anniversary is being celebrated across the country. Dr. B.R. Ambedkar spent most of his life fighting for the rights of people from the backward sections of the society. Next time Dr. B.R. Ambedkar established himself as jurist, economist, politician and social reformer. He was the Chairman of the Constitution Drafting Committee during the drafting of the Constitution of India” speaking to the media Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said. The Chief Minister also added that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has declared his birthday as a public holiday as a tribute to Bharat Ratna Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. The Chief Minister thanked the Prime Minister for this. The teachers and students of Agartala Sachin Deb Barman Memorial Govt Music College performed a cultural program on the occasion.

Hon’ble SC Welfare, ARD, Fisheries Minister Sudhangshu Das, MLA Kalyani Roy, Hon’ble Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) Dipak Majumder, Hon’ble Deputy Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) Manika Das Datta, Former MLA Dr. Dilip Kumar Das, Former Speaker Rebati Mohan Das and other dignitaries were present in the Ambedkar Jayanti.
