With the initiative of Ananda Marga Pracarkaka Sangha, Ananda Purnima Dharma Maha Sammelan has been conducted at Ananda Nagar, Purulia. The program begins with morning music and meditation. Acharya Bikasananda Avadhoot spiritual lectures based on the philosophy of Anandamurthi.

He said that according to Sri Anadamurthiji, wherever there is speed or progress, there is speed or attraction or both. When people move forward that which propels them behind is called motion and that which pulls them in front is called attraction. Momentum and attraction can be physical, emotional and even spiritual. For example, if I push something from behind, that object moves forward. If you forcefully pull it from the front, it also moves forward. This is called worldly or physical motion or physical attraction. Similarly, we can move or attract an object through mental energy. Even if the body is pushed, the mind cannot move. Often the body wants to work but the mind is too weak. Conversely, sometimes the mind wants to work but the body is physically tired; Yet the mind directs the body to action by sheer force of habit. Thus motion and attraction operate equally in the physical, mental and spiritual worlds.

There are different types of motion in the world and these attraction and kinetic forces are working behind them all. The movement and attraction of the mental world is relatively long-lasting, and the movement and attraction of the spiritual world is eternal. When people’s actions are supported by their physical strength and functional faculties but not by their spiritual strength, they easily tire in the process of work. But when they plunge into activity with one hundred percent energy and proceed with a clear plan of action, setting a high ideal before them, then all their actions are successful and their lives are fulfilled. This is called devotion.
