Mumbai, Maharashtra, 2nd of July, 2026 : Using comedy to challenge social mindsets is never easy, but Annu Kapoor’s upcoming film Uttar Da Puttar appears to do just that with an entertaining and thought-provoking approach. The film’s trailer, launched by veteran actor Manoj Bajpayee, makes it clear that this is not just a laugh-out-loud comedy but also a light-hearted satire on blind faith in Vastu Shastra, superstition, and the belief that luck alone can solve life’s problems. Blending family entertainment, emotions, and humor, the film aims to leave audiences smiling while encouraging them to think.

Produced under the banner of Promodom Motion Pictures, Uttar Da Puttar follows the story of an ordinary man who becomes convinced that all his life’s troubles can be solved simply by finding the “right direction.” Annu Kapoor brings his trademark comic timing and emotional depth to the role, striking a perfect balance between humor and heartfelt moments. The film also features Rukhsar Rehman, Brijendra Kala, Pawan Malhotra, Ishtiyak Khan, Jiveshu Ahluwalia, Rajendra Sethi, Sumit Gulati, and Nitin Arora in pivotal roles.

Producer Sandeep Kapoor and director Ravinder Siwach believe the film delivers an important message: life’s decisions should be guided by wisdom and action rather than superstition. Centered around the thought-provoking question, “What is greater—karma or destiny?”, this family entertainer is set for a worldwide theatrical release on July 24, 2026.
