Mumbai, Maharashtra, 9th of September, 2026 : The APNIC 62 conference, a major gathering of the Asia-Pacific Internet community, has returned to India after nearly 14 years. Being held in Mumbai from September 8 to 10, the conference is hosted by NIXI and co-hosted by ISPAI. During the event, NIXI and APNIC also entered into an important partnership aimed at strengthening cooperation in Internet development, technical training and routing security.
The partnership will focus on promoting IPv6 and RPKI, developing Train-the-Trainer programmes, expanding technical training and building laboratory infrastructure. The deployment of an RPKI Repository Mirror will also help improve access to routing-security information.

NIXI CEO Dr. Devesh Tyagi said, “The MoU will strengthen cooperation in practical areas such as IPv6, RPKI and technical training. Our goal is to build stronger local expertise.”
APNIC Director General Jia-Rong Low said, “India has demonstrated global leadership in IPv6 adoption. This partnership is an important step towards further strengthening routing security and technical capacity.”
APNIC 62 features expert discussions on Internet infrastructure, AI, cybersecurity, IPv6, Internet governance and emerging technologies. The conference highlights India’s growing role in the global digital ecosystem and its commitment to building a secure, stable and resilient Internet.
