Agartala, 16th of July, 2024 : On 16 July 2024, at about 0515 hrs on specific information, Spl patrolling party of BOP Nischintpur, apprehended 01 BD national (male) and 01 Indian tout (male) in general area of Nischintpur while they were trying to cross over the border from India to Bangladesh side.
Name and address of apprehended persons are as under:- Bangladeshi National 1) Atiqur Rahman– age 48 yrs S/O Late Mubarak Ali, Village- Kazipara, PO/PS/Distt– Brahmanabaria (Bangladesh), Suspected Indian Tout 2) Arabinda Das (Tout) age- 54 yrs S/O Late Sukh Lal Das, Village- Anandapur, PO- Brojendra Pur Head post office -Anil Garh PS- Ramkrishnanagar Distt-Karimganj (Assam) PIN-788156
In another case today at about 0810 hrs BSF AHTU (Anti Human Trafficking Unit) along with GRP apprehended One BD National and One Indian national (Tout) from Agartala. Details of apprehended persons are as under:-
Bangladeshi National 1) Rinku ch Das (18) S/O- Sri Narayan Ch Das Of Sasarat PO- Abu tarab PS- Miressharai Dist- Chittagang. Suspected Indian Tout 2) Royal Das (27) S/O- Sri Sitanath Das Vill- Nimdaha PO- Belarhat, PS- Purbasthali Nimdaha, Dist- Bardhaman, West Bengal
Questioning of apprehended persons is in progress. BSF has stepped up its drive against such illegal Bangladeshi immigrants and all field formations are actively breaking down the nexus of touts in the bordering areas.
