Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Candidates File Nominations Papers.

Khowai, 16th of July, 2024 : Candidates of all anti-ruling parties have been filing their nomination papers in Khowai since yesterday for the three-tier Panchayat elections in a free and peaceful manner. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) nominated candidates of Gram Panchayat and Panchayat Samiti filed their nomination papers for three -tier Panchayat elections today afternoon through a huge procession.

On this day, one by one, Khowai Panchayat submitted their nomination papers to BDO Abhijit Das of Khowai Panchayat No. 13 seat of Khowai Panchayat Samiti BJP nominated candidate and former vice chairperson of Panchayat Samiti Tapas Kanti Das, BJP nominated candidate of Khowai Panchayat Samiti No. 6 seat and former chairperson Tinku Bhattacharjee and Other BJP nominated candidates also submitted.

Also on this day, 147 candidates nominated by BJP of 15 Gram Panchayats under Khowai Block submitted their nomination papers one by one at the office of Khowai Panchayat Samiti. BJP Tripura Pradesh Vice President Tapas Bhattacharjee, BJP Khowai District President and MLA Pinaki Das Chowdhury, BJP Khowai Mandal President Subrata Majumdar, BJP Khowai Mandal General Secretary Tapas Kanti Das, BJP Khowai District General Secretary Samir Kumar Das were present during nomination submission.

BJP Tripura Pradesh Committee vice-president Tapas Bhattacharjee said that opposition parties including the ruling party have also filed nomination papers to contest the three-tier Panchayat elections in the state. It shows that democracy has been re-established in the state during the tenure of the present Government. There was a time when the opposition was held to account in various elections. There was no democracy in the state. Today the people of the state can see that Dr. Manik Sahar’s Present Government established in the state believes in democracy. A lot of enthusiasm can be seen among the party workers and supporters around the filing of nomination papers of the candidates on this day.
