Barsha Baran Festival At Bishalgarh.

With the initiative of Bishalgarh ICA Department and Municipal Council celebrated Barsha Baran festival at New Town hall, Bishalgarh under Sepahijala District on Sunday (16th April, 2023). Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha attended the Barsha Baran festival programme.

“In our state, the unity of people is hidden in diversity. At this time, the people of various castes and tribes of the State observe the New Year according to their own customs. All these festivals bring people together. This match is the tradition of our State”, Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said at the Barsha Baran (Bengali New Year) programme. The Chief Minister also added that the people of the State’s peace-loving caste have been carrying this tradition. This unity of the state must be preserved at any cost. The State Government is determined to maintain peace and harmony in the State at any cost.

MLA Sushanta Deb delivered the welcome speech on the occasion. Social activist Rajib Bhattacharjee also among others spoke at the occasion. Sabhadhipati of the Sepahijala Zilla Parishad Supriya Das Datta, Vishal Kumar, District Magistrate and many other dignitaries remained present in the programme.
