Agartala, Tripura, 3rd of August, 2024 : On 2nd August 2024 at about 1730 hrs on specific input regarding illegal crossing over to Bangladesh, a special operation was launched in the area of BOP Akhaura Check Post and at the same time deployed troops were also alerted.
Alert BSF patrolling party noticed suspicious movement close to border fencing near Indian village Sanmura. Further 10 Bangladeshi nationals were apprehended while trying to illegally cross over to Bangladesh. Preliminary questioning is being carried out by Border Security Force (BSF).
The successful apprehension of Bangladeshi nationals is outcome of alertness of BSF troops and enhanced vigil along the border.
