BSF Tripura has been regularly conducting ‘Special Anti-Narcotics Drives’ in the State of Tripura and successfully neutralizing the nefarious designs of Trans-border Narcotics / Drug smugglers.
On 04th July 2021, acting on a specific Intelligence input ,the BSF troops of 20 Bn BSF Panisagar and local Police party of PS- Kailashahar conducted a special joint operation and intercepted one suspect riding a Motorcycle near Petur Bazar Bus Stand, Kailashahar City, Distt- Unakoti, Tripura. The suspect revealed his identity as Bilal Miah (32Yrs) S/o Madhu Miah R/o Ward No. 03, Tilla Gaon, Kailashahar, Unakoti, Tripura. During thorough search, ‘Brown Sugar’ – 27 Gmsworth Rs. 13,50,000/- was recovered from his possession. An FIR has been lodged and the apprehended person along with seized items handed over to PS- Kailashahar, Sub Division- Kailashahar, Distt- Unakoti, Tripura for further legal action.
