Shillong, Meghalaya/Tripura, 6th of May 2026 : Cadet Sagar Debbarma from the Silchar Group of 13 Tripura Battalion NCC, representing Maharaja Bir Bikram College, Agartala, Tripura, brought pride to the state and his unit by securing a Silver Medal in Application Firing (Service Shooting) under the TSC (Thal Sainik Camp) category.
The achievement was earned during the prestigious NER Directorate Service and Sports Shooting Competition, which was held at 58 GTC, Happy Valley, Shillong. The competition witnessed participation from NCC cadets across the Northeast Region and featured highly competitive events in shooting and service disciplines.
Cadet Sagar Debbarma competed in the Senior Division (Boys) category, where he demonstrated remarkable precision, focus, discipline, and consistency in the Application Firing event. His outstanding performance earned him the Silver Medal among strong competitors from various NCC groups across the Northeast.
The competition was organised under the NER Directorate with the objective of promoting leadership, discipline, sportsmanship, and excellence in marksmanship among NCC cadets.
