Agartala, Tripura, 4th of July, 2025 : With the initiative of NCC Closing Ceremony Of Combined Annual Training Camp 53 (CATC 53) Cum Yuva Aapda Mitra Scheme (YAMS) Camp was held at Saheed Bhagat Singh Youth Hostel, Agartala on Friday (4th July, 2025).

NCC in Tripura :- Total of 5600 cadets (3300 boys cadet and 2300 girls cadet ) in Tripura being trained by three NCC units , the 13 TRIPURA BN NCC , 15 ( independent) boys company NCC, 71 (independent) girls company NCC 26 colleges and 70 schools. Yearly recruitment to conduct minimum 08 Annual camps
Combined Annual Training Camp conducted by the 13 TRIPURA BN NCC from 25 June to 04 July for cadets of school and college (second and third year NCC) who are eligible for A, B and C certificate examinations.
This camp was a based on CATC cum Yuva Apada Mitra scheme (NDMA Basic course) where total 334 cadets participated, 160 SD, 174 SW, total college 16 and JD 65, JW 64, total 129, schools- 7.
Opening address of the camp was delivered by Col C Rajshekhar , CO 13TRIPURA BATTELION NCC.
Major highlights of the camp:-
A) Overall theme: – Yuva Apada Mitra launched by National Disaster Management Authority of India.
B) Basic military training: – PT, drill, weapon display, Firing.
C) Eminent speaker: – Army officers, Medical officers, CTI, PI staffs, ANO’s, Master Trainers NDRF, police Officers, TSR, SDRF, Ex cadets.
D) Demonstration: – Disaster management, Firefighting, Personal hygiene, Self defense, Drug abuse, Map reading.
E) Competitions: – Drill ,firing , lecture, group discussion, group dance ,group song , drawing, speech , best photographer, Best anchor , best camp senior .
F) Cultural evening: – The cultural evening was conducted with great pomp and splendor.
G) Felicitation: – 33 NDRF officials including chief guest NDMA were felicitated and awarded with Rishas and mementos for their selfless service for the country.
H) Competition winners: – By showing full strength and mesmerizing performances cadets won the medals and trophies they deserved, the competition was fare and justice. I) Gratitude: – The conduct had been made possible due to assistance from the SDRF, NDRF, TFES, TSR, artillery brigade and other units of the army.
In the last day of the camp , cadets started their day by a closing ceremony which was hosted by camp commandant col Rajshekhar, CO 13 TRIPURA BN NCC , with presence of the ADM officer col Roshan zamer . where he had motivated cadets for their upcoming wellbeing and acknowledged them about three aspects of life which are Aspire ,Respire and Inspire . Cadets felt motivated and were cheerful by the lecture. The session ended with the NCC song.
For the last time camp memory, cadets were invited for a group photo including CO, all ANO’S ,CTO’s, PI staffs and cadets .,the day went well and happy . At the end with cadets departure ,where they went back to their respective institutions after mesmerisising 10 days of enjoying.
