Agartala, Tripura, 4th of July, 2025 : With the School Education Department Government of Tripura organized launching programme of TSQAAF Framework in collaboration with State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) at Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhawan, Agartala, Tripura on Friday (4th July, 2025). In the In the presence of many distinguished dignitaries Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha launched Tripura School Quality Assessment and Assurance Framework (SQAAF) today.

Addressing at the inaugural ceremony of Tripura School Quality Assessment and Assurance Framework (SQAAF) Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said that various programs are being taken to ensure that the students of the industrial institutions get a timely, safe and inclusive learning environment. In addition, the State Government is also working to improve the education system in line with the times for the benefit of the future generations of the state.

The Chief Minister felicitated 51 education workers from different levels for their special contribution in the ‘School Complex’ programme being run in South Tripura and Dhalai districts. The Chief Minister also unveiled a book cover of ‘TISQUAF’ at the event.
The Chief Minister also added that ‘TISQAF’ will act as a catalyst for a major change in the education sector of the state. The objective of this program is to enable every school to assess its current status and take necessary steps for development. This framework has been developed based on the far-reaching vision of the National Education Policy-2020.

Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister said that they need to move away from the traditional way of teaching and learning. Education should be made attractive to students by incorporating innovative thinking. Prime Minister Narendra Modi often says that education should not be based solely on textbooks but should be a means of values, development and nation building. So that today’s students can play an important role in building the country and society in the future. The Chief Minister urged everyone to involve them in social activities right from their student age.

Highlighting the momentous occasion, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha remarked that in order to make education more inclusive, 200 meritorious students have been given scholarships of Rs. 60,000 each under the Chief Minister’s Scholarship for Achievers Towards Higher Learning (CM-SATH) scheme, 140 students have been given scooty under the Mukhyamantri Kanya Atmanirbhar Yojana , and 1,22,509 students of class IX have been given bicycles. Fees for girls have been waived for admission to colleges. As a result, the attendance rate of girls in colleges is gradually increasing. Moreover, the National Education Policy-2020 has already been launched with a view to changing the education system. As a result, in the coming days, students of the state will get equal opportunities in the competitive field with students from other parts of the country. More than 200 teachers and 107 librarians have been appointed under the transparent recruitment policy a few days ago. This year, the pass percentage in secondary and higher secondary and Vidyajyoti Schools has increased significantly.

Director of School Education Department Nripendra Chandra Sharma delivered the welcome speech at the event. Amidst the distinguished dignitaries there were, Special Secretary of Education (School) Department Raval Hamendra Kumar (IAS), Sanjay Prakash, Managing Director and CEO of SBI and many other dignitaries were present in the ceremony.
