Chhath Puja was celebration at Ranir pond, Agartala on Sunday (30th October, 2022). Devotees offer prayers to the Sun God after taking bath on the auspicious occasion of Chhath Puja. The main day of Chhath Puja is on the Shashthi of Shukla Paksha of Kartik month, which is being observed today. On this day, women offer Sandhya Arghya and observe a day-long fast and break it only on the following day after sunrise.
Hon’ble Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) Dipak Majumder and MLA Dr. Dilip Kumar Das offered prayers at Ranir pond on the occasion of Chhath Puja. A large number of people have participated with great enthusiasm and excitement.
