Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha Inaugurates 5 Newly Constructed School Building.

Agartala, Tripura, 2nd of May, 2025 : With the initiative of School Education Department Government of Tripura inauguration ceremony organized at Ramnagar HS School ( Eng.Medium) premises on Friday (2nd May, 2025). In the presence of many distinguished dignitaries Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha inaugurated the Newly Constructed School Building of Ramnagar H.S School (English Medium) and virtually inaugurate more 4 newly constructed school building today.

The Chief Minister inaugurated the Newly Constructed School Building of Ramnagar H.S School (English Medium) and virtually inaugurated Barkathalia H.S School under Hezamara R.D Block,  Darogamura High School (English Medium) under Hezamara R.D Block,  Khudiram Basu English Medium School Under AMC and Sukanta Academy English Medium H.S School. The cost of construction of these buildings was 8 crore 69 lakh 80 thousand.

Addressing at the inaugural ceremony Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said that Education plays an important role in the development of human resources. Therefore, the State Government is working with priority to expand quality education. Along with infrastructural development, the Government is also giving importance to the recruitment of qualified teachers. Human resource development is not possible if the future generation cannot be educated with good education. Therefore, emphasis should be given to providing quality education to students. Changes should also be made in the education system as per the need of the time so that students can keep pace with the times. Currently, peace is prevailing in the State, the Government is taking various new initiatives to improve the education system.

The Chief Minister said that poor, women and minority students are being supported in various ways, including by providing scholarships. Emphasis has been given to the spread of digital education in the state’s schools. For infrastructural development in the education system, new buildings for 44 schools have been constructed in the financial year 2024-25. This has cost 153 crore. There are plans to construct new buildings for 30 more schools in the financial year 2025-26. This will cost 264 crore. In addition, there are plans to develop the infrastructure of 123 schools in the financial year 2025-26.

“The policy guidelines of the National Education Policy are also being properly implemented in the state. For this purpose, ‘NIPUN Tripura’ (NIPUN (National Initiative for Proficiency in Reading with Understanding and Numeracy) is being implemented in line with the NIPUN Mission of the Government of India in the field of pre-primary education. In addition, 1 student was admitted to IIT, 3 to NIT, and 3 to MBBS courses in the 2024-25 fiscal year by taking advantage of the Super 30 scheme.”, Chief Minister added.

The Chief Minister also added that under Chief Minister’s Scholarship for Achievers Towards Higher Learning (CM-SATH), 200 meritorious students have been provided with scholarships of Rs 60,000 each. Since 2018-19, 1,23,000 female students have been provided free bicycles. To encourage female students to pursue their education, 140 meritorious students who have achieved good results in T.B.S.E and CBSE boards have been provided free scooters.

Addressing at the inaugural ceremony Hon’ble Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Transport and Tourism minister Sushanta Chowdhury said that, currently the Government is working on providing quality education to students along with infrastructural development in the state. The State Government is arranging coaching for students so that the students of the State can score good results in various all-India Competitive examinations. He said that a transparent recruitment policy is being formulated in the State and employees are being recruited in various departments. Along with various departments, talented people are getting jobs in the teaching profession through TET examination in the education department as well.

Special SecretaryEducation (School) Department Raval Hamendra Kumar (IAS) delivered the welcome speech at the event.  Amidst the distinguished dignitaries there were Hon’ble Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) and MLA Dipak Majumder, Hon’ble Minister of State Brishaketu Debbarma, Director of School Education Department Nripendra Chandra Sharma and many other dignitaries were present in the inauguration ceremony.
