Agartala, Tripura, 24th of February, 2025 : With the initiative of Tripura Police 12-day All India Police Football Championship-2025 organized. The 73rd B.N Mullik Memorial All India Police Football Championship 2024-25 (Men & Women) inaugurated today (24th February, 2025) at Umakanta Mini Stadium, Agartala. The 73rd B.N Mullik Memorial All India Police Football Championship 2024-25(Men & Women) tournament which will be held from February 24 to March 7, 2025.

In the presence of many distinguished dignitaries Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha inaugurated the 73rd B.N Mullik Memorial All India Police Football Championship-2025 today.
Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha addressing at the inauguration ceremony of the 73rd B.N Mullik Memorial All India Police Football Championship 2024-25 said that Tripura Police has a glorious history of 150 years. Working tirelessly to maintain a democratic environment in the State. Tripura Police also has a good reputation in sports. Chief Minister thanked the Tripura Police for organizing this competition.
“25 states, 4 union territories and 7 central forces of the country have participated in this championship. 36 teams in the men’s category and 9 teams in the women’s category have participated in the competition. The matches of this championship will be held in 5 AstroTurf football grounds in West Tripura district, South Tripura district and Gomati district till March 7.”, Chief Minister added.

Addressing the gathering Chief Minister added that the law and order situation in the state is presently better than other States in the country. With the sincere efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, various schemes of the ‘Act East Policy’ are being properly implemented in the states of the North Eastern region. As a result, the development of each state is accelerating by improving road, rail and air services in the North Eastern states.
G.S. Rao Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) of Tripura, delivered the welcome speech on the occasion. Director General of Police Amitabh Ranjan, Raja Murugan, Additional Director General of Police (Training), Hon’ble Youth Affairs & Sports, Social Welfare & Social Education, Labour Minister Tinku Roy, senior police officer and many other dignitaries were present in the event.
