Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha Inaugurates And Laying Foundation Stone Of Different Development Projects Of Unakoti District.

Unakoti, 4th of March, 2025 : Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of different development projects of Unakoti District on Tuesday (4th March, 2025). In the presence of many distinguished dignitaries Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha has inaugurated and laying the foundation stone of 37 different development projects for Unakoti district today.

“Prime Minister Narendra Modi wants to make the North East more self-reliant. He has understood that if the North East does not develop, then India as a whole cannot develop under any circumstances. In that direction, rapid development work is now underway in this region.”, Hon’ble Chief Minister Prof Dr Manik Saha said at the and Laying Foundation Stone  of Different Development Projects. The total cost allocated for the projects is more than 162 crore.

The expenditure for this has been 24 crore 26 lakh 18 thousand rupees. Among the projects inaugurated are the District Education Training Center and 50-bed hostel at a cost of 5 crore 97 lakh 40 thousand rupees, the two-storey building of Tillabazar Higher Secondary School at a cost of 2 crore 28 lakh rupees, the renovation and beautification of the water body to Ramakrishna College at a cost of 1 crore 48 lakh 92 thousand rupees, the expansion of Chandipur Block Office at a cost of 1 crore 14 lakh 26 thousand rupees, the provision of drinking water in Jal Jeevan Mission at a cost of 3 crore 30 lakh 66 thousand rupees in Nunchra, etc. Apart from this, Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha laid the foundation stone of 20 projects today .

The projects will cost more than 137.98 crores to implement. Notable projects include the construction of the District Magistrate’s Office at an approved cost of 24.20 crores, the construction of the Kailashahar Sub-division Magistrate’s Office at a cost of 8 crores, the construction of the Ramkamal Higher Secondary School building at a cost of 14.74 crores, the construction of the District Transport Office at a cost of 6.5 crores in Kailashahar, the construction of a Working Women’s Hostel at a cost of 11.40 crores in Paitur Bazar, a 50-bed Drug De-Addiction Center at a cost of 20 crores in Chandipur, and the construction of a new building for the Ramakrishna Educational Institution at a cost of 8.51 crores.

Unakoti District Magistrate & Collector of  D.K.Chakma, IAS delivered the welcome speech on the occasion. TIDC Chairman Nabadal Banik, Chairman, Tripura Board of Waqf Moboshar Ali, Unakoti District Superintendent of Police Kanta Jangir, Social Welfare and Social Education Department Director Tapan Kumar Das and many other dignitaries were present in the inauguration ceremony. At the event, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha handed over a cheque of 9 lakh 70 thousand 875 to Ruma Pal, wife of late worker Ramjoy Pal, who died while working at the Manu Valley Tea Garden.
