Agartala, Tripura, 21st of June 2025 : With the initiative of State Government of Tripura organized inaugural ceremony of Beautification Project in Agartala on Saturday (21st June, 2025). In the presence of many distinguished dignitaries Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha inaugurated the Beautification Project.
Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha inaugurates Beautification of Ponds Near Nagerjala Bus Stand and Milan Sangha under 8- Town Bordowali Assembly Constituency.
Addressing at the inaugural ceremony Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha the current State Government is committed to providing beautiful, healthy and clean civic services to the city dwellers. The State Government’s constant positive public welfare initiatives and the sincerity of the central government are the keys to achieving this goal.People are now able to appreciate the development of Tripura’s cars. The Chief Minister said that the current State Government is taking various plans for the development of not only Agartala city but also all the urban areas of the state. Since 2019, 23 ponds have been renovated and beautified. Work will be taken up on 14 more ponds. The Chief Minister also added that the existence of this Bhattapukur was about to disappear.
Addressing at the inaugural ceremony Hon’ble Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) Dipak Majumder said that for a long time, these two ponds were not being used by people due to lack of renovation and initiative. With the initiative of the State Government and the active role of the Agartala Municipal Corporation, the ponds have now been made suitable for human use. The Government is trying to solve the various needs and problems of the people of Agartala city and the entire state by evaluating them. The government has emphasized on beautifying all the cities of the state with such ponds.
Dilip Kumar Chakma, Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) Commissioner delivered a welcome address at the inaugural session of Beautification Project. Amidst the distinguished dignitaries there were Hon’ble Deputy Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) Manika Das Datta, Corporator of Ward No. 33 AMC Ward Abhijit Mallik, Corporator of Ward No. 40 Sampa Sarkar Chowdhury, and may other distinguished dignitaries were present in the ceremony.
