Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha Inaugurates Newly Constructed School Building Of Madhupur H. S School At Madhupur H.S School, Madhupur Sepahijala District.

New Delhi, Delhi, 27th of June, 2025 : With the initiative of State Government of Tripura inaugural ceremony of Newly Constructed School Building of Madhupur H. S School at Madhupur H.S School, Madhupur under Sepahijala District on Thursday (26th June, 2025). In the In the presence of many distinguished dignitaries Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha inaugurated the events and laid the foundation stone of different projects.

The state and central governments are implementing various welfare schemes focusing on education, healthcare, communication infrastructure, and the holistic development of indigenous communities. Alongside a significant expansion in educational infrastructure, the state government is also working to implement the New National Education Policy to provide quality education to students. Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha stated this while inaugurating the newly constructed two-storied building of Madhupur Higher Secondary School in the Bishalgarh subdivision. At another event held at the new Town Hall in Bishalgarh, the Chief Minister also inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for several developmental projects. Notably, Rs. 1 crore 66 lakh 8 thousand 422 was spent on the construction of the new building at Madhupur Higher Secondary School. The Chief Minister mentioned that the state government remains committed not only to improving education but also to promoting sports and cultural activities. At the event, the Chief Minister said Tripura is advancing rapidly in all areas. In the last financial year alone, over Rs 153 crore was spent solely on educational projects. To ensure government benefits reach the last person in village panchayats and village committees, the state government is implementing various developmental initiatives. He also said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi with the motto “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas,” multiple development projects are being swiftly implemented across the state. As of June, this financial year, projects worth Rs 638 crore 75 lakh have been executed across the state.

The Chief Minister added that the road from Rastarmatha to Madhupur via Kamalasagar and up to Kasbeswari Temple has been renovated, with Rs 18 crore spent on the work. Shortly, efforts will be made to develop Kamalasagar’s Kasbeswari Temple into a tourism hub. Religious tourist centers across the state are being revamped to attract more tourists. He also appealed to parents to remain vigilant to ensure the younger generation, including students, does not fall prey to substance abuse. At the event, MLA Antara Sarkar Deb mentioned that the state government has approved the construction of Rabindranath Tagore University in Kamalasagar for the benefit of students. During the same event, Madhupur Panchayat’s Purnima Shil was honored as the best Anganwadi worker, Madhupur’s Ruma Sarkar was recognized as the best ASHA worker, East Gakulnagar Arogya Mandir was awarded for its outstanding healthcare service, and Principal Barnali Goswami of Madhupur Higher Secondary School was felicitated for the school’s achievements in the Higher Secondary Examination and Principal Barnali Goswami of Madhupur Higher Secondary School was felicitated for the school’s achievements in the Higher Secondary Examination.

In the second phase of the program, the Chief Minister participated in another event at Bishalgarh’s new Town Hall, where he laid foundation stones and inaugurated various projects. These included: A new Sub-Divisional Magistrate’s office in Bishalgarh, constructed at a cost of Rs 8 crore 10 lakh. A 50-bed new building for the Bishalgarh Sub-Divisional Hospital, costing Rs 2 crore 10 lakh. A DCM Water Complex in Sipahijala, costing Rs 2 crore. An SDM Quarters, constructed for Rs 83 lakh. Road construction from Bishalgarh to Golaghati, costing Rs 11 crore 62 lakh. Inauguration of 7 Ayushman Arogya Mandirs, constructed at a cost of Rs 26 crore 46 lakh. MLA Sushanta Deb was honored for his contribution toward establishing a blood bank at Bishalgarh Sub-Divisional Hospital and organizing weekly blood donation camps. For their outstanding healthcare services, Sipahijala district’s Microsapara PHC, Dayaram Para PHC, Yuvrajghat, and Ujan Pathalia Arogya Mandirs were also felicitated.

Additionally, 6 village committees from Jampuijala block, 2 from Charilam block, and 2 from Bishalgarh block were awarded for being child marriage-free. Four students who won the district-level essay competition on drug abuse and illicit trafficking, as well as 8 students who excelled in district-level swimming and badminton competitions, were also awarded prizes and certificates. Both events were chaired by Supriya Das Dutta, Sabhadhipati of the Sipahijala Zilla Parishad, and the welcome address was delivered by District Magistrate Dr. Siddharth Shiv Jaiswal. Other dignitaries present included Superintendent of Police Vijay Debbarma, Bishalgarh Municipality Chairperson Anjan Purkayastha, Bishalgarh Panchayat Samiti Chairperson Atasi Das, and Director of School Education N.C. Sharma.
