Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha Inaugurates The Shri Shri Nirsingha Devata And Ram Janaki Temple.

Agartala, Tripura, 16th of July 2026 : On the auspicious occasion of Ratha Yatra, inauguration ceremony of the Shri Shri Nirsingha Devata and Ram Janaki Temple at Motor Stand, Agartala, Tripura on Thursday (16th July, 2026).

In the presence of many distinguished dignitaries Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha inaugurated the Shri Shri Nirsingha Devata and Ram Janaki Temple.

Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said on the auspicious occasion of Ratha Yatra today that “the chariot of development is moving forward in Tripura.” He said that temples and other heritage structures associated with the royal era are being restored and preserved to showcase the state’s rich historical legacy to the younger generation.

Addressing at the at the newly renovated Shri Shri Nirsingha Devata and Ram Janaki Temple at the Old Motor Stand in Agartala, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said that he had visited the temple many times during his childhood. He also described the temple as a spiritual hub of the locality.

Interacted with media, the Chief Minister alleged that the CPI(M) office at Melarmath and its affiliated organisations function as “institutions of falsehood.” He strongly criticized the Leader of the Opposition for his remarks about the police. At the newly renovated temple, the Chief Minister prayed for the overall welfare of the people of the state.

Amidst the other distinguished leaders there were Hon’ble Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) and MLA Dipak Majumder, West Tripura District Magistrate Dr. Vishal Kumar, Superintendent of Police Namit Pathak, and many others remained present in the programme.
