Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha Inaugurates Various Developmental Projects In Khowai.

Khowai, Tripura, 6th of October 2024 : With the initiative of Education (School) Department and Youth Affairs Sports Department, Government of Tripura has been organized inauguration ceremony of Newly Constructed Building of Khowai Government English Medium H.S School, Sarat Chandra Class- XII School, Singhicherra & Newly Constructed Synthetic Turf Football Ground at Khowai Government English Medium H.S School , Khowai on Sunday (6th October, 2024). In the presence of many dignitaries Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha has inaugurated various developmental projects today.

Addressing the inauguration ceremony of various developmental projects Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said, Sports are inextricably linked with studies. So along with the development of better education infrastructure, better sports infrastructure is also being developed in the state. So that sportspersons in the State can achieve success at national and international level. Development of state and country is not possible without education. The state government is working on developing sports infrastructure along with education infrastructure. 5 crore have been spent on the synthetic turf football field of Khowai Government Boys Class XII School. 5 crore 37 lakh was spent on the construction of the newly constructed building of Khowai Government English medium H.S school and 1 crore 56 lakh 6 thousand was spent on the construction of the newly constructed building of Sarat Chandra 12th standard school.

The Chief Minister also added that there are plans to build multipurpose sports halls in Kailashahar, Bishalgarh, Melaghar. The Chief Minister expressed the hope that the athletes of the state would get success at the national and international level by taking advantage of the improved sports infrastructure. Chief Minister said in the event that 7 synthetic football fields have already been constructed in the state. The government has taken various steps for the development of sports. Talented athletes are encouraged to develop their sporting talent. 10 sports coaches have been appointed to improve the quality of sports in the Chief Minister Sports Development Scheme.

Addressing the event Hon’ble Youth Affairs & Sports, Social Welfare & Social Education, Labour Minister Tinku Roy said that the State Government is implementing various projects along with the development of school and college infrastructure as well as the development of sports infrastructure.

Khowai District Magistrate & Collector Chandni Chandran delivered the welcome speech on the occasion. Teacher Sushmita Shil handed over a check of 10,000 rupees to the chief minister’s relief fund at the ceremony.

MLA Pinaki Das Chowdhury, MLA Nirmal Biswas,  Sabhadhipati of the Khowai Zilla Parishad Aparna Roy (Datta), Secretary of Youth Affairs and Sports Department Dr. Pradip Kumar Chakraborty, Khowai District Superintendent of Police Dr. Ramesh Kumar Yadav, Social activist Subrata Majumder, Chairperson Municipal Council, and many other dignitaries were present in the programme. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Director of School Education Department Nripendra Chandra Sharma.
