Agartala, 8th of February 2024 : Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha inaugurated Mukhya Mantri Sushtha Saishab Sustha Kishore Aviyan (MSSSKA) 6.0 at Bishalgharh Town Hall under Sepahijala District on 8th February, 2023.
“Today’s children and teenagers are the future of the country. Therefore, to make them healthy and strong, the Mukhya Mantri Sushtha Saishab Sustha Kishore Aviyan (MSSSKA) 6.0 campaign has been launched in the state. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also prioritized making children and adolescents healthy and strong. The State Government is also working under the guidance of the Prime Minister.”, Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Manik said at the inauguration ceremony of MSSSK. The chief minister said on the occasion that BCG (anti-tuberculosis) vaccination of adults has also started in the state today. On the occasion, the Chief Minister formally launched Mukhya Mantri Sushtha Saishab Sustha Kishore Aviyan by giving iron and folic acid tablets to 2 children and BCG vaccination to 2 adults.
This campaign is an important step in eliminating anemia and physical and mental development of children and adolescents. In this campaign, children and adolescents aged zero to 19 years will be given various preventive tablets and vaccines. The Chief Minister said that 11 lakh 36 thousand children and adolescents of the state will be brought under this campaign. The chief minister said that this campaign was started in the state from 2021. Since the first year, this program has been very successful in the activities of the health department in the state. In order to bring 100 % success in this campaign, the department has to work on priority.
D.K Chakma, Director of Health Mission delivered the welcome speech on the occasion. MLA Sushanta Deb, TIDC Chairman Nabadal Banik, Director of Health Services Dr. Supriya Mallik, Social activist Gaurang Bhowmik and many other dignitaries were present in the ceremony. The programme was presided over by Chairman of Sepahijala Municipal Council Anjan Purakayastha.
